St Blazey 5 v 2 Plymstock Researves. Att. 42
St Blazey won this friendly comfortably in the end but a bit of late drama made it anything but a friendly. St Blazey opened the scoring after just 5 minutes through Deadman. Yeoman doubled their lead when he picked up the ball, went past three defenders and finished well. In the 37th minute Deadman put in a great cross from the left and Stone headed home the third. With minutes to go before half time, Yeomans low hard shot was saved and Taylor Owen finished off the loose ball.
Half Time. St Blazey 4v0 Plymstock Reserves.
St Blazey continued to push forward and in the 55th minute added a 5th when Rendle chipped in. Instead of collapsing, Plymstock came back into the game and pulled one back through Adam Lee. Plymstock were then awarded a penalty when Rundle was penalised but Wilson saved from Philpotts. St Blazey re grouped and created several chances but it was Plymstock who added a second with 8 minutes left through Max White scoring from the spot. With just minutes remaining no one could have imagined what was to happen next. After a poor challenge from Johnson, Adam Lee and Johnson got caught up in a scuffle and were both shown straight red cards. Both players went and sat in the dugouts as the game re started. Within a couple minutes Piggot dived in for St Blazey and Adam Lee came running from behind the dugout and threw a punch and was sent offAGAIN!! Piggot was shown a yellow card.
Final Score. St Blazey 5v2 Plymstock Reserves.
Lyle Johnson will now miss the opening 3 games of the season for his red card.
