Liskeard 4v3 St Blazey.
Att. 71 (17 from St Blazey)
St Blazey will look back at a moment of madness where this game changed completely. Having survived a penalty appeal from Liskeard which was given outside the box, St Blazey were then awarded a penalty which Rendle slotted home after 8 minutes. After 15 minutes Liskeard looked in serious trouble after the Referee sent off Podmore for an off the ball incident. With St Blazey well in control they pressed the self destruct button when Jordan Berry went flying into a tackle near the Liskeard penalty area and gave the Referee little option but to level things up 10 v 10. Liskeard began to kock the ball round much better and St Blazey couldnt cope. Liskeard scored in the 30th minute with a free header from a corner from Rodgers and then the 35th minute when Lorenz was played through who slotted home to turn the game on its head.
Half Time. Liskeard 2v1 St Blazey.
The second half started under the lights in the gloomy mist and with the rain still pouring down. St Blazey couldnt get to grips with Liskeard and they looked threatening while St Blazey never looked likely to test the their goalkeeper. Woods smashed home a rebound after the previous effort smashed against the bar and then a fantastic Gilbert finish into the top corner started to make it look very one sided. St Blazeys manager, Morgan, came off the bench for the final 15 minutes and scored a from a free kick after 91 minutes and then within a minute an attempted cross flew into the top corner to make it a little less of a drubbing. Unfortunately time was against St Blazey to rescue the most unlikely and undeserved point.
Final score. Liskeard 4v3 St Blazey
