St Blazey suffer senior cup disappointment

Wadebridge Town 2v1 St Blazey

St Blazey have been knocked out the Cornwall senior cup quarter final stage after suffering a narrow defeat at Wadebridge.

Wadebridge went one up with a free header from a corner in the first half. Despite creating a few chances, St Blazey went in at the break behind.

The second half saw St Blazey reduced to 10 men when Ray Card was sent off for a altercation with the Wadebridge forward. Wadebridge doubled their lead soon after to set them on their way to the semi final. St Blazey did pull one back from the penalty spot through Jordan Walton but they couldn’t force a late equalizer that would have took the tie to extra time.

Wadebridge will now face Torpoint for a place in the final. The match will be played at Liskeard.
