St Blazey earned a very credible draw against their Western Premier league opponents on Tuesday night. St Blazey playing their first away match of pre season on a lovely surface at Bolthio Park on a cool summers evening. Jack Alexander put St Blazey in front during the first half with a clever lob over the Parkway goalkeeper, a lead they held onto until half time.

Plymouth Parkway equalised early in the second half with a good header back across goal after a good cross from the right. Parkway controlled large parts of the second half but St Blazey dug in deep and St Blazey’s new goalkeeper Jordan Duffy made six excellent saves to keep Parkway out and earn St Blazey a very good pre season draw.

Due to new Covid 19 regulations this match was played behind closed doors.

With the sunny weather and hot temperatures the first half was not the best. St Blazey made nine changes to the side that started mid week at Plymouth Parkway. Lakeside had the best opening chances in the first half but it was St Blazey who ad the lead at half time. Callum Kenny opening the scoring with a low drive into the bottom corner.

With numerous substitutions at the start of the second half St Blazey struggled to get into a rhythm but St Blazey grew into the match in the final 20 minutes and could have scored several goals. As it was they scored three more with goals from Perryman, a brilliant strike from Alexander and a neat finish from Walton.
