Liskeard v St Blazey Att 73 (19 Away )
Manager Matt Hayden took his place in the dugout wearing a protective boot after his injury suffered against Wadebridge. Ryan Oxley and Stuart Morgan started up front with Tornado playing on the right side. Jack Carron played his last match before he begins life in the Marines with his training program.
Liskeard went into the match with a 100% record for the season. St Blazey knew it would be a huge test for a side patched up. Liskeard looked in control from kick off and they took the lead after just 4 minutes. After winning a corner, Liskeard took the corner short, and a quick shot flew past the St Blazey goal keeper at the near post with a good shot.
Half time, Liskeard 5v0 St Blazey
Full time, Liskeard 7v2 St Blazey
Man of the match, Stuart Morgan. His return to the back line for the second half prevented a complete embarrassment.
Next up for St Blazey, a return to Blaise Park to face former St Blazey manager, Alan Carey’s Porthleven riding high in the West division this season.
